ARTIST STATEMENT
I am an interdisciplinary artist working with architectural methods in painting. By exploring light, shadow, scale, and surface, I construct compositions as a way of creating calm and safety—an environment in which observation becomes possible.
In my practice, I am interested in the position of the observer: a state in which observation turns into an active process and attention shapes what becomes visible. I am drawn to moments of pause, similar to a vacuum, where perception sharpens and begins to generate the image itself.
In my projects, I use unprimed canvases, tracing paper, sheer fabrics, and incorporate glass beads. These materials create layered surfaces in which the visible and invisible resonate with each other, forming a soft structure of presence.
My practice is a way of observing and understanding perception, exploring how space and material can support a state of calm and presence.
